This did not seem to warrant a discussion since it was a spelling error, so I went ahead and moved the page. Thanks, Alunwyn, Sarah Ewart (Talk) 14:51, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Usage: native Welsh
[edit]Can you clarify what is the meaning of native Welsh as it is ambiguous. Built by native Welsh? I am not sure that the word native is particularly informative. -- billinghurst (talk) 16:20, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- Native Welsh is used to describe castles built in Wales by the Welsh as opposed to those (probably the majority) that were built by the invading Normans - but I can see how the term can appear ambiguous if you're unfamiliar with Welsh history.--Rhyswynne (talk) 15:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wales § Cadw's renaming of castles. Concerning the bolding and formatting of the Welsh name in this article following its adoption by Cadw. DankJae 20:19, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
